Root Cutting

Root ingress or intrusion is a major factor to below ground pipelines.

Roots enter the pipes normally through weak spots and grow restricting the flow through the system, the roots then cause blockages and can compromise the structural condition of the drain.

Drains Today Ltd specialise in dealing with removal of roots from drainage systems, drain repairs and relining.

Roots can be removed by our specialist root removal cutters which are powered by high pressure water jetting machines.

This specialist equipment removes roots from the drain without having to excavate. It also restores the flow and the drain to working capacity

Our root cutting equipment is used in conjunction with a drain camera to check the full removal of roots and condition of the pipeline during the work and on completion.

As roots will grow back into the drain for the water source a repair method using a no dig lining repair may be required to prevent future issues.
